A note on Lily by Bob Lee

"After I met Lily and visited Ile Ife – Village of Arts & Humanities in 87’ or 88’ and she told me her story, we selected her to receive the Artist of the Year award at the next AAAC banquet. I then understood her and how the pattern of her life applied to most if not all Asian American artists, to embark on their American journey and ultimately return to their Asian beginnings. For Lily it was her ideal, her dream of the Dustless Place, seeking and one day finding it."
